Dr. Cory Scott has been a physical therapist since 2006. Cory graduated with a BS in Kinesiology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2002. Cory later attended the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, in St. Augustine, FL and earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2006. Cory began his therapy career working in a rehabilitation hospital setting where he gained proficiency in working with neurological and post-operative patients. Cory quickly realized his passion for working with sports injury and orthopedics patients and became Lead Physical Therapist as well as Spine Program Director at Twin Cities Hospital Physical Therapy Clinic in Niceville, FL. Cory also served as Outpatient Physical Therapy Director at Westwood Retirement Community in Fort Walton Beach, FL. Currently, Cory is the Co-owner of Primetime Physical Therapy. Cory is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association’s Orthopedic and Private Practice Sections. Cory was raised in Ft. Walton Beach, FL and has strong community roots.

Dr. Shyla Scott graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2001 with a BS in Neuroscience. She went on to earn her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2005 from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, in St. Augustine, FL. She also became a Certified Lymphedema Therapist through the Academy of Lymphatic Studies in 2008. Shyla has worked as a physical therapist for eight years and has worked in a variety of settings, including hospital, skilled nursing, home health and outpatient clinics. In 2007 Shyla changed her focus to pelvic health and developed the Women’s Health physical therapy program and assisted in developing the Lymphedema and Oncology physical therapy programs at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center in Ft. Walton Beach, FL. In 2013, Shyla completed all course work for the Certificate of Achievement in Pelvic Physical Therapy (CAPP) through the American Physical Therapy Association’s Section on Women’s Health. She has given a number of talks on the topic of incontinence. Shyla is Co-owner of Primetime Physical Therapy and is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association’s Section on Women’s Health, National Vulvodynia Association, Interstitial Cystitis (IC) Network, International Pelvic Pain Society, and National Lymphedema Network.

As graduates of the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, Cory and Shyla have extensive education and training in manual therapy and utilize these skills as the basis for their treatment approaches.
